Golf Valley — family living a kilometre from the marina
Nueva Andalucía is Marbella's largest neighbourhood — roughly ten square kilometres of valley directly inland of Puerto Banús, around eighteen thousand residents, anchored visually by La Concha rising at the back. José Banús Masdeu master-planned it. He first visited Marbella in 1962, completed Puerto Banús in 1968, and turned to the valley immediately after — choosing the name Nueva Andalucía (new Andalusia) in 1964 to evoke a fresh, modern vision. The Plaza de Toros bullring near Centro Plaza was built in 1965; rapid growth followed through the 1980s and again in the 2000s.
The defining identity is golf. Four full championship courses sit shoulder-to-shoulder in one valley. Real Club de Golf Las Brisas (1968, Robert Trent Jones Sr.) is the senior name. Aloha Golf Club (1975, designed by Spanish architect Javier Arana) has hosted the Andalucia Open on the European Tour three times — 2007, 2008 and 2012. Los Naranjos Golf Club (1977, Trent Jones Sr.) runs through the middle of the valley. La Quinta Golf & Country Club (Manuel Piñero) carries twenty-seven holes on the western edge. Two more nine-holers — Magna Marbella and Dama de Noche (a rare night-play course) — round out one of Europe's densest concentrations of competitive golf.
The sub-pockets read as benchmark layers around the courses. La Cerquilla is the prime — elevated sea views, the largest plots, the trophy register. Las Brisas Golf and Aloha Golf villas are mature; Los Naranjos, Parcelas del Golf, Albatross Hill, Vista Real, Aloha Hill Club, Les Belvederes and Haza del Conde all carry sea-or-mountain outlooks. Lower down sit Señorío de Gonzaga, Alminar de Marbella, Sierra Park Club, Los Arrayanes, La Alzambra, Marbella Country Club, Atalaya de Río Verde (large villas, privacy close to Banús) and La Campana on the eastern side.
Per-m² pricing in the upper sub-pockets has converged with Sierra Blanca and Zagaleta — villas regularly trade in the high single-digit millions and apartments comfortably above €7,000 / m². Centro Plaza is the everyday spine: three floors of shops, thirteen bars and restaurants, a gym, a dance studio, the Saturday-morning market from eight to three. Aloha College (British curriculum, ages 3–18) sits inside the valley itself. Puerto Banús is five kilometres away — Banús, Marbella centre and San Pedro all inside a five-to-ten-minute drive. Málaga airport is forty to forty-five minutes by AP-7.
Four championship courses inside one residential valley — Las Brisas (1968), Aloha (1975), Los Naranjos (1977), La Quinta — plus Magna and Dama de Noche. Per-m² pricing is now on a par with La Zagaleta and Sierra Blanca.

The international-school cluster (Aloha, Saint George's, Svenska Skolan, Atalaya) sits inside the valley itself — door-to-door fifteen minutes for most residents. That single fact decides the postcode for relocating Northern European, British, and increasingly American families.
Buyers here are members — of Las Brisas, Aloha, Los Naranjos, La Quinta, plus Manolo Santana and Aloha Tennis & Padel for the racquet calendar. The valley packs more competitive sport per square kilometre than any other prime postcode in Spain.
Per-m² pricing now matches La Zagaleta and Sierra Blanca — but here you can walk to Centro Plaza, the Saturday market, the children's school, the gym and three of the four golf clubs. Banús is five minutes south. That trade-off is why the valley keeps re-pricing upward.
Two micro-locations a kilometre apart can differ by a million euros. Here are the closest comparable addresses with their average price per m² alongside this one's.
